OPENING PRAYER
*OPENING HYMN #1 “Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!”
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Merciful God, we confess that we wandered far from you, both in
what we have done, and in what we have left undone. In thought,
in word, and in deed, we have failed to be citizens of Your
Kingdom and to do Your will. You alone are holy, and we can
but see the radiance of Your holiness from afar. Our lives
demonstrate how difficult it is for us to live holy and pure lives.
Your Son Jesus extends his holiness to us, and through his gift
we are clothed with holiness. Help us live as a grateful people,
knowing that you have given us everything we need to be your
children.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Because of what Jesus has done for you, you are forgiven.
Because of what Jesus has done for you, you are forgiven.
Glory to God. Amen!
THE PEACE
The peace of the risen Christ is with you.
And also with you.

OLD TESTAMENT READING Psalm 103:1-14
A WORD IN SONG “We Are Redeemed” Chancel Choir
by J. Paul Williams & Lee Dengler
All have sinned, yes, all have sinned, and fall, fall short, of the glory of God,
the glory of God. We are redeemed, not by the law; we are redeemed when
we call on Him; Believing in Christ; receiving His grace; Justified by faith.
Grace is a gift given by Christ; and Jesus paid the price. The righteousness
of God, revealed through His Son; a gift to all who will believe. Amazing
grace! How sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost,
but now am found, was blind, but now I see.

MISSION IN MOTION SEPTEMBER PROJECT
For September we will host the “TICKET TO RYDE” drive. For $20
you allow our church to purchase a 12-ride punch ticket for the
RYDE bus. Head Start will oversee their student’s punch ticket and
make sure that as they get on or off the bus for school, the ticket is
punched. That gives each student six days of rides to and from
school. Look for the school bus display in the narthex. Checks
may be made to the church and indicate “RYDE” on the memo line.
