November 2021
The
Director’s Page
November is going to be another exciting month. With an
emphasis on family and gratitude, we will be preparing for our
Thanksgiving Feasts. We will also be having a special visit from
Mother Goose! She will be telling us some fantastic stories and
teaching us fun rhymes about “Food, Fabulous Food!”
And, of course, we will take some time to recharge our batteries
during our Thanksgiving break.
Let’s remember that we have so much to be thankful for… our
family and friends, our fabulous teachers, and the cooler weather.
I hope that we can all take some time this month and reflect on
the fact that even with everything going on in our world right
now, God is good!

and Senses. They will participate in
crafts and fun activities that will go with
the themes this month. We will have a
visit from Mother Goose and will have
our own Thanksgiving feast!
The children will continue to work on
counting and saying their ABC’s, as well
as recognizing their numbers and letters.
Our shape for this month is the oval and the colors we will focus

week! Our next units of study will be
Healthy Habits and Food Groups. We
will discuss healthy versus unhealthy habits

importance of healthy food choices. Also,
with the Thanksgiving holiday approaching
we will talk about what it means to be
thankful.
In language arts we will focus on the letters Oo, Qq, and Cc. We

It’s hard to believe it’s already November! October sure did fly
by. Now that November is here we get to move our focus to
Thanksgiving and Preparing for Winter. We’re going to dive
into hibernation and how animals prepare
for winter - specifically woodland
animals. We will be discussing migra-
tion and how some animals change
location instead of hibernating. We
will also discuss Thanksgiving and how
this holiday came to be here in America.
We will focus a lot on what it means to be
thankful and what we can be thankful for as preschoolers. No
Thanksgiving unit is complete without a meal, so we will have our
very own Thanksgiving Feast here at STCC!
