ALTAR FLOWER CALENDAR

The altar flower calendar is now a notebook on the Welcome Center table.

The cost remains the same — $17.50 per vase and you take the flowers home

to enjoy.

Please return the blue plastic vase as we return them to the florist to be used

again.

UMCOR IS RESPONDING to the deadly tornadoes that went through

several states. Make checks out to the church “CUMC” and note on the

envelope that it is for UMCOR.

USE OF FELLOWSHIP HALL

Reminder to all committees and groups to complete a Use of Facilities Form

to use the Fellowship Hall for a time other than your normal meeting time

(e.g. Boy Scouts use the hall every Monday evening, Family Fun Friday uses

the hall every third Friday so a form would not be necessary). This lets the

office and Trustees know the date and time of your event, when you plan to

set up and the table/chairs layout. This process was put into place years ago

to prevent conflicts on the church calendar, especially as more outside groups

ask to use our facilities.

WELCOME

To the service today. Our first time guests should have received a gift as

you came in. If you did not, please stop by the Welcome Center before

you leave. Those online who provide their contact information, will also

receive a gift.

The flowers on the altar are given to the Glory of God

by Sharon and Earl Hart in memory of Donald Hart, Earl’s father

LITURGISTS FOR 2022

If you would like to serve as a liturgist for one month Sunday mornings at

10:30am during 2022, please contact the church office letting us know

what month you would like to serve.

The liturgist assists the pastor in leading the worship service. The

information and order of worship are provided.

TIME TO CLEAN UP THE CHURCH

It is time to put items away to their proper storage areas and get ready for

the church’s diamond jubilee, our 60th anniversary.

The Spanish and the youth share a cabinet over the kitchen desk to

store your items.

Hospitality needs to put the extra flowers in the carts in the kitchen

back into the cabinet in the table room or the storage room above the bell

room.

Items in the classrooms need to be sorted and put away for another

year.

Pick up your extra plates and storage containers from the kitchen so it

looks good for the dinners we will be having this year.

Each committee should plan a cleaning day to organize your area while

putting away the seasonal items. Let the office know your dates and we

can invite the congregation to come help.

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN DINNER & PRESENTATION

All women are invited to join Christ United Methodist Women on January

11th at 4 pm in the Fellowship Hall. There will be a presentation entitled

“Push Out” by Marta Daltry, Southwest District Education &

Interpretation Coordinator. Bring a dish from your culture for the potluck

supper following the presentation.
