Staying in Touch
Volume 15 - Issue 1 January 2022
Dear GHI Friends and Family:
Greengs in the Name of our Lord!
Aer Doe and I went in the ministry in 1978, God called us to
move to Texas where we began our walk of faith without regular jobs and simply
learning to trust Him. It was a dierent journey for us as we stepped out into a new
way of living. We had always in our minds earnedour way and were never depend-
ent on oerings. Does rst experience that was so personal to her was aer a
church service a friend walked up to her and shook her hand and placed a $100 bill in
it. We were used to regular paychecks and not used to someone handing us money.
She said to me later, I didnt know what to say. What do I say? I said to her, just
say thank you!
So, is it possible that I can just say thank youto all of you who have prayed and
given during this exceedingly dicult year? Your amazing grace has been felt by so
many and we pray this monthly report we send you will let you get a glimpse of how
your return on investment is accruing to your account! I always think of this passage.
Then Jesus explained: My nourishment comes from doing the will of God,
who sent me, and from nishing his work. You know the saying, Four months
between planng and harvest. But I say, wake up and look around.
The elds are already ripe for harvest. The harvesters are paid good wages,
and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life.
What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester alike!
You know the saying, One plants and another harvests. And its true.
I sent you to harvest where you didnt plant; others had already done the
work, and now you will get to gather the harvest.
John 4:34-38 (NLT)
So, again we say to all of you who are planters, may God bless you a hundred-fold!
And one day on the other side of eternity, you will see your investment face to face!
Mulplied blessings and best wishes for a prosperous 2022. Mack and Dottie
Now from Sam:
Dear Friends,
Greengs to you in the name of our Lord God! We hope and trust
you had a good Christmas. We are thankful to you for your love, prayers and support
that enabled us to have a great Christmas. We would like to wish you Gods grace and
blessing in this coming year.

Staying in Touch
We joined the shepherds in spreading the word concerning the birth of the Lord Jesus.
Two thousand years ago, the shepherds on seeing baby Jesus spread the word concerning him. This
Christmas season we joined the heavenly and the earthly choirs in proclaiming the birth of the Lord
Jesus Christ through our outreach programs that were organized. Through these outreaches, we were
able to share Gods love to nearly 3,000 people and over 2,300 people trusted Christ to the Glory of God.
Wherever I preached, I noced that the people were very aenve and responded in earnestness to the
Gospel messages.
We witnessed the saving power of Lord Jesus in the life of this modern-day Zacchaeus.
On the 23
rd
of December as I was about to travel
to at neighboring state, Andhra Pradesh for the
ministry, the Lord impressed on my heart to
preach from Luke 19:1-10. Even though, I had a
severe cold and nose block, I sensed a great
assistance by the Holy Spirit while preaching. The
salvaon story of Zacchaeus is one among many
examples of the Son of man, the Lord Jesus Christs
mission to seek and save the lost. This is indeed
the story of Christmas! We had a great response to
the Gospel message.
On 26
th
Dec, I was preaching in one of the outreaches. It was an open-air meeng in front of one of our
missionary homes in P____. I
preached on Zacchaeus, the
wealthy corrupt government
ocer who wanted to see
Jesus and how the Lord Jesus
sought him by looking up,
calling him down, going to his
house and eang a meal with
him which ulmately resulted
in Zacchaeus repenng and
the Lord Jesus declaring that
salvaon has indeed come to
his house. All the adults who
came (about 25 Hindus) except one Muslim lady raised their hand in response to the altar call.
The next morning this missionary couple called and told me about a modern Zacchaeus who had trusted
Christ the previous night. There was a young wealthy government schoolteacher, who was not able to
aend this Christmas program because of a stomach bug but had heard the Gospel from her apartment
on the second oor and trusted Christ to the Glory of God. This teacher said that she was nished with
all the Hindu gods and wanted them removed from her house immediately just like how Zacchaeus
repented. This missionary couple fasted, prayed, and went the next day and helped clear the house of all
Hindu idols. Praise the Lord!

Couple of days back, this teacher came to visit Fayma and I. She said that she was a deeply religious
Hindu and would recite the Hindu prayers and slogans for hours together. She just could not believe how
she was able to forsake these gods so quickly and was at a loss for words to express her transformaon.
What she said brought music to my ears. She said, I did not choose this God, this God chose me.This
tesmony made my day, my year, and my life in serving God in this P______ area.
Rejoice with Richard & Beulah for their new baby girl!
Just as we rejoice with the spiritual birth of the teacher, we also rejoice with the physical birth of a baby.
Pastor Richard and Beulah have been married for the past 7 years. They were childless and have been
seeing many ferlity doctors.
Couple of weeks back, we heard of a newly born unwanted baby girl through a Pastor friend of my dad.
The Pastor said that the couple were planning to throw the baby away when this Pastor intervened. We
felt that this baby was a Godsend for Pastor Richard and
Beulah. Aer the appropriate paperwork, we were able to
get the baby. The baby was so weak and weighed only about
1300 grams (with the dress and the diaper). I asked Fayma if
she could feed the baby and she gladly agreed. Aer couple
of feeds, the baby became stable. We handed this lile
precious girl to Pastor Richard and Beulah. Both cried with
joy and excitement. In the late night, our campus nurse Mrs.
Sugi came and helped us. The next morning, we took her to a
child specialist, and he was willing to care for the baby.
Richard and Beulah are madly in love with their precious lile
daughter. By the grace of God, the baby has gained 450
grams in the past two weeks. Please join with us in praising
God for this gi and praying for the paperwork. We trust that this lile girl will grow up to be a godly
woman of God.
Our God works in mysterious ways, on this side of the world, I wonder if God in his wisdom chose to
close Beulahs womb so that she could be a mother of this unwanted baby girl?
Ponnis engagement was a success and were looking forward to
her wedding.
By the grace of God, we were
able to solemnize the engage-
ment of Ponni with Joel in our
campus. We expected about
one hundred guests, but
about three hundred of them
came. God willing, Ponni and Joel would be geng married on the
13
th
of February. We have $750 with us, and we are trusng God
for another $1,125. This would be the rst Chrisan wedding ever in her village. We trust that she and
Page 4

Joel would raise up a godly generaon.
Thank you for the Christmas gis for the GHI family and for the poor
We are very thankful for your Christmas gi for the GHI family. We were able to get them new clothes,
give a lile cash gi and provide them a tasty Christmas meal. Fayma and her team took great pains to
select the clothes for each member of the family. Here is a picture of the boys and the girls and our GHI
family. We also remembered the poor around us. Our Pastors idened the poor in the community and
gave them new clothes for Christmas.

Thanks to you, the shed is
taking shape
By the grace of God, the
work in the shed is progress-
ing well and we hope it will
be completed in the next 3
weeks. The campus workers
are happy to have a lounge
for them and a garage for
their agriculture equipment.
The kitchen staff are happy
to have a firewood storage
place. Here is a picture of the
multipurpose shed.
Family and PhD Studies
By the grace of God, Fayma and I are thankful to God for uning us 16 years ago as husband and wife; for
granng us the grace to love each other, raise three children and serve God in the ministry. When my
parents took me to meet her for the rst me (1
st
Sept 2005), I asked them permission to speak with her
before a nal decision was to be made. Aer, I shared my tesmony and lifes passion/vision for 40
minutes, I asked Fayma if she would walk along with me. It was like giving her an altar call and I was so
glad that she said, Yes.
For the past 16 years, she has stood with me, stood for me,
stood instead of me, and has made me stand not only in our
family life, but in serving the Lord through the Bible College, the
Orphanage, Evangelism, Pastoral and Apologecs ministry. On
this wedding anniversary, Aradhana and Amelia threw a
surprise party for us. I sang a song composed by Steven Curs
Chapman, I will be here.I hope and pray that I will live up to
this song. She was tearing as I expressed my love for her.
Please do li me up in prayer as the Madras University has
noed that my thesis is due for submission on the 9
th of
March
2022. I am thankful to God for my research guide who has not
lost his hope on me. I need more of Gods grace to honor Him
through this research.
Once again, a big thanks to all of you for your prayers, encouragement, and faithful support over the
years. Wishing you a wonderful New Year.
With love, Sam and Fayma
PS - Please thank God with us for His protection for all our Christmas outreaches.

A lile more...
Just an added word! Every year
we budget a campus outreach
Christmas celebraon which
draws hundreds (this year over
900) of people to our church
campus. We just wanted to add
these pictures of those who
heard the gospel and celebrated
the true meaning of Christmas
with our GHI family.
This is a great outreach, not only
in sharing Christ and seeing many
saved, but also in building
community love and respect
which makes our campus a place
anyone can come for help.
Please pray hearts will be
touched by the Holy Spirit and
they will be reminded of the
words of truth and love shared
with them on this Christmas day.
Other prayer needs:
1. The necessary funding for all the remaining construcon projects to be completed on the campus.
2. Our lecturers and students to stay focused during this next semester.
3. The health for all the orphans, students, lecturers, pastors, wives and campus sta and their
families.
4. Macks traveling grace and strength as he travels to India on Jan. 19 Feb. 2; and for Doe while
hes away!
5. Mack as he speaks at Harvesters Theological College & Seminary graduaon on Jan. 29th.
Have a blessed New Year! God bless each of you!
