Relationship with God: an Upward Focus

2022 LOCAL CHURCH LEADERSHIP TRAINING

This training is being provided via Zoom on Tuesdays at 2 pm or 6:30 pm

and Saturdays at 9 am. I pick which day and time fits your schedule.

This is mandatory training for the following church committees &

positions:

Finance Committee: February 8 or 12

SPRC: February 15 or 19

Trustees: February 22 or 26

FL UM Children’s Home Rep: March 8 or 12

Lay Leader and Lay member to Annual Conference: March 15 or March 19

Those who work with children and youth must attend the Child/Youth

Protection Policy training which is also going to be online on Tuesday, March

1 at 2 pm and 6:30 pm or Saturday, March 5 at 9 am. You will need to

provide proof to the church office that you took the training.

All sessions will start on time so log on several minutes early. The link to

questions.

DON’T DRIVE ON THE GRASS

$2,500 has been spent to fix control valves and sprinkler heads. Please use

the roadway into the sanctuary parking lot and then park on the grass around

the circle driveway. DO NOT drive across the lawn from Homestead Road

or the Fellowship Hall parking lot.

WELCOME

To the service today. Our first time guests should have received a gift as

you came in. If you did not, please stop by the Welcome Center before

you leave. Those online who provide their contact information, will also

receive a gift.

The flowers on the altar are given to the Glory of God

by Charles Appler in honor of his 97th birthday.

THANK YOU FOR RINGING BELLS

Major Brenda Lane from the Salvation Army, sent a thank you letter. You

raised $3,359 over the 3 days of ringing bells at Walmart. She looks

forward to our participation again this year.

ERT CERTIFICATION at Carlson UMC in Labelle on January 29

ERTs help with specific needs in the early days after a disaster. This

training is provided by an UMCOR certified trainer. Participants learn the

basics of disaster response, including how to stabilize and secure homes

safely, and how to work effectively with survivors and others on the

LITURGISTS FOR 2022

If you would like to serve as a liturgist for a particular Sunday each

month or for one month Sunday mornings at 10:30am during 2022, please

contact the church office letting us know when you would like to serve.

The liturgist assists the pastor in leading the worship service. The

information and order of worship are provided.

NO CHOIR PRACTICE IN JANUARY

Choir rehearsals will resume in February at 4 pm on Thursdays in the

choir room.

EXTRA GIVING ENVELOPES

If you give monthly and do not use the extra weekly envelopes, the

church office could use your extra giving envelopes. Hand them to Keith

Hepler, Finance Secretary but DO NOT put them in the offering basket.
