I can’t believe we are so quickly approaching the end of our 2021-
2022 school year! It has been a full and fantastic year.
While I am sure to enjoy the leisure of the summer months, I will
look forward to seeing the smiling faces of those of you returning
to us next year. For those moving on, I pray you know joy and
success in all your future endeavors.
May is also a very busy month. Please be sure to keep up with all
the upcoming important dates and times. We will recognize our
final star students, enjoy end-of-year promotions, and end with
parent/teacher conferences.
I look forward to our remaining time together! Thank you and
your families for making 2021-2022 a memorable one!

Can you believe we are in the last month of school? We have
Mother’s Day, graduations, end-of-the-year parties and
conferences coming up this month. In Chapel we will learn all
about God’s creations at the beginning of time. We will talk
about and color sheets that support the Bible stories each week.
Our theme this month is Summer Safety.
There will be discussions, books read, and
play-acting about safety at home, near
the water, and on the playground. The
children are doing great learning your
names in case they should ever get
separated from you. Please review with
them at home, too.
We will review all colors this month. One way to review with
your child is to ask them what colors they are wearing when they
get dressed in the morning. All the shapes will be reviewed as
well. How can you see if they know them? Ask them about ob-
ject shapes inside and outside the house. They will keep practicing
counting objects up to five. A few of our students are recognizing
some of the letters of the alphabet and starting to read books to
us by looking at the pictures. They are amazing!!
Bible verse: Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them.
Mark 10:14

2-year-old Classes
May is here, the end of the school year is near and we have a
busy month ahead! Our unit of study is Summer Safety where
we will learn how to be safe during a variety of summer
activities. We will practice for our end-of-year celebration and
each child will be individually evaluated for our parent/teacher
conferences at the end of the month. Sign-
up sheets for conference times will be
available soon.
This month we’ll review all of the colors,
shapes, letters, and numbers that we have
worked so hard to learn this year. We will
continue to build our skills in patterning,
sorting, counting, and comparing. We will
continue to encourage the use of proper
grip of writing utensils as we continue to
work on tracing our names.
